Metal halide lamps

Halide lamps are high pressure discharge lamps.

Its operation is very similar to the UV curing lamps: When the combination of ionized gases and metal halide of the lamp by applying current, an electrical arc is generated between the electrodes. The arc generates a temperature rise, producing the evaporation of the gas and generating light with the increased heat and pressure.

The light generated will vary depending on the halide contained in the lamp.
